We are excited to announce that WCAX reporter Kate Duffy will be joining the campaign as communications director next month. Kate brings over eight years of experience at Channel 3 covering everything from the many happenings in our state to Vermont's response to the earthquake in Haiti. On Thursday Lt. Gov. Brian Dubie and the Vermont Department of Economic Development held a supply chain summit at Plasan North America's newest plant in Bennington. The summit was meant to develop a relationship between the state's suppliers and manufacturers, while also increasing business for in-state companies and tightening supply chains.

Brian had a busy Saturday today! First he attended the groundbreaking for the new $18 million SB Electronics manufacturing facility in Barre. Congressman Peter Welch attended as well.
Brian also spoke with voters at the Vermont Home and Garden show, where he met up with State Senator Dick Mazza.

Today is tax day. Brian has pledged that as Governor that he will work hard to cut taxes, and cut red tape allowing Vermont businesses to create new jobs across the state - starting with the capital gains and estate taxes that were raised last session over the Governor's veto.
