The latest CNBC ranking ranks VT as the 37th best state for business. Forbes Business Magazine ranks VT as the 47th best state to do business. I am running for Governor to say that being ranked 37th and 47th is simply not good enough. As Governor I will work to cut taxes, reform our burdensome regulatory environment and work to make state government a partner not an adversary with the states job creators.

Today we remember our Founding Fathers and their famous words: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
We have much to be proud of and thankful for in this country. I am proud of our Founding Fathers' bravery, and, especially today, am proud and thankful to be an American.

Brian with his daughter Casey in Bennington at the Chamber event. Casey was Brian's driver, photographer and navigator for the day. Also, Brian got to see Casey graduate from High School yesterday!
